It would be hard to not notice all the fuss about the Green New Deal, which has offered an inspiring framework for community organizing and pushing the political agenda around the world. Recently the Pact for a Green New Deal was launched in Canada, and this month communities across the country are holding town hall meetings to discuss what such an ambitious approach to climate justice could look like in Canada. We would like to invite you to be a part of the discussion in Saskatoon.
There are nearly 200 town hall events planned across the country this month. We will be hosting a meeting for Saskatoon next Wednesday, May 29th at 7pm to help envision what a Green New Deal could and should look like, including for people in Saskatoon. The meeting will be held at the Albert Community Centre Auditorium. You can RSVP here.
