We are excited to be co-sponsoring the launch of Seth Klein’s recently published book A Good War: Mobilizing Canada for the Climate Emergency. The event will be taking place online on Wednesday, September 30 from 7-9pm. The evening will feature a reading from and Q&A with Seth Klein, a panel discussion featuring local climate activists and community organizers, and a special musical performance by Eliza Mary Doyle! You can find the poster for the event below. Other local co-sponsors include the Saskatchewan office of the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives, Briarpatch magazine, and Turning the Tide bookstore. You can register here.

The book, which examines how we can align our politics and economy with what the science says we must do to address the climate crisis through exploring Canada’s response to another significant international crisis – the Second World War – has been generating lots of discussion and laudatory reviews. We hope you’ll join us to hear more about it!
