We’re thrilled to announce we are a sponsor of Mend Repair Café! This community-driven initiative is made possible by Saskatoon Makerspace, Affinity Credit Union, Saskatchewan Waste Reduction Council, the Library of Things, and now—Climate Justice Saskatoon. ?

Stop by Saskatoon Makerspace (#130 209 Avenue D S) on Saturdays from 1-4 pm for a welcoming and collaborative space where volunteers help fix everyday items and show you practical repair techniques.

While you’re there, come say hi—we’ll have an information booth and an exciting campaign you can be a part of (stay tuned for more details)!

Each week focuses on a different category like electronics & small appliances, sewing, small engines, woodworking, metalworking & welding, and bicycles. Bikes will be the focus on Oct 25 followed by sewing on Nov 1 and metalworking & welding on Nov 8.

So, bring in your broken or worn-out belongings—whether it’s a small electronic device, a wobbly chair, a torn jacket, or even a bicycle—and skilled volunteers will help you through the repair process.

We’re all about building the world we want to see, so we are excited to support this initiative! Together, we can reduce waste, extend the life of our belongings, and promote a self-sufficient and vibrant community.
